Meet our Headteacher

As Headteacher, can I warmly welcome you to the Berwick Academy website! It is an honour and privilege to represent the student, staff, and trustees of Berwick-upon-Tweed. We are a small but caring community who are constantly working to improve our skills, knowledge, understanding and values. Friendship, Learning, Respect is our motto. These are not just words on a wall. Students develop strong friendships with each other, supporting each other as they grow and flourish. Learning is at the heart of everything we do. Learning is for life, and we want to develop a growth mindset so that our students become successful so that they serve and support their family, friends and community.  Respect is earned. However, we expect everyone to respect each other, and be polite and considerate. Only over time, with positive behaviours will profound respect flourish.
