Pupil premium funding is allocated to schools by the government to tackle inequalities in education. The amount of funding a school receives is based on the number of students it has on roll in the following categories:
- students who are or have been in receipt of free school meals
- students who are children looked after by a local authority
- students whose parents are in the armed forces
Berwick Academy’s pupil premium strategy is monitored and reviewed throughout the school year and on an annual basis, the date of the next annual review is September 2023.
